Substation frame: the substation frame plays the role of supporting power equipment and bearing conductor tension. It is an important part of the substation. The stress of the frame is mainly horizontal load. According to the voltage level requirements, the live conductor needs to keep a certain distance from the ground and other structures. Therefore, the frame design often has rigid height and span requirements, which is generally a large flexibility structure. By analyzing the design characteristics of long-span substation frame in severe cold area, Q235 and Q345 steel with excellent low-temperature impact toughness and quality grade D are recommended. The structural selection and design of 220 kV frame are compared and demonstrated, and the frame type most suitable for the project is selected. Due to the characteristics that the substation frame is difficult to maintain during operation, the cold spraying zinc technology is adopted to realize the long-term anti-corrosion of the frame structure, significantly improve the durability of the structural design and optimize the whole life cycle cost of the frame.
